Welcome to the Berkowitz School. It is an honor and a pleasure to be the principal of the Berkowitz School. I have been a Chelsea educator for the past 26 years, and this is my third year serving our community as principal of our school.

I began my educational career in Chelsea as a third-grade bilingual student when my family immigrated to Chelsea from Bogota, Colombia. I am a proud graduate of Chelsea High School. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Hispanic Language and Literacy and a Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language from Salem State. After many years in the classroom, I pursued my CAGS in administration from the University of Massachusetts.

It is my goal that when you come or visit our school, you will walk away with a strong sense of how we live our motto, "Together, We are Better!" I look forward to working with all our students, families, teachers, and community partners. We are a community of expert learners working together to ensure our students achieve personal success in their journey as lifelong learners.
