  • COVID-19 Scenarios and Testing Q-and-A for CPS Families

    On Thursday, September 30, there will be two opportunities for families to participate in a question-and-answer session regarding the 2021-22 COVID-19 Scenarios and Testing Protocols at Chelsea Public Schools. The sessions will occur virtually on Zoom. One will be from 10:00-11:00am and the other from 4:00-5:00pm on Sept. 30. Click here for more information, and to get the Zoom link.

    El jueves 30 de septiembre, habrá dos oportunidades para que las familias participen en una sesión de preguntas y respuestas sobre escenarios y pruebas de COVID-19 en las escuelas públicas de Chelsea este año de escuela.   • Chelsea Leads Massachusetts in Youth Vaccination Rates

    The City of Chelsea leads the State of Massachusetts in youth vaccination rates (ages 12-19), and owns the highest overall vaccination rates statewide among the 20 prioritized communities featured in the Vaccine Equity Initiative (VEI).  

    After being the hardest hit community in the State of Massachusetts during the COVID-19 pandemic, Chelsea residents committed to getting the vaccine with over 71 percent of the City being fully vaccinated and 82.9 percent receiving the first dose. These numbers are reinforced by the City’s youth, who have the state’s highest vaccination rates in the 12-15 and 16-19 age demographics. Read more...

    Every year from September 15 through October 15, we celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month. The observance of National Hispanic Heritage Month first began under President Lyndon Baines Johnson in 1968, when it was known as Hispanic Heritage Week.   • Superintendent's Message Regarding School Transportation

    Chelsea Public Schools recognizes that some families have had difficulty accessing door-to-door transportation so far this school year.  This is not unique to Chelsea and is due to a shortage of bus drivers locally and nationwide.  In response, Governor Baker is calling upon the Massachusetts National Guard to provide service in multiple school districts across the state.
