We’re proud to be the birthplace of the HOMies, developed by our Assistant Principal, Demetrius Fuller. These habits of mind inspire our students to embrace resilience, curiosity, and creativity in their learning journey.
Guided by John Wooden’s Pyramid of Success, we encourage every child to strive for personal excellence. We focus not only on academics but also on character, teaching values like integrity and teamwork.
At Sokolowski, we create a warm and welcoming atmosphere where every child feels safe and supported. Our team works collaboratively to provide special support for students with disabilities and our multilingual learners, ensuring that all learners have the chance to shine.
We celebrate our students’ achievements in our bi-monthly school meetings, fostering a sense of community and belonging. At Sokolowski School, we’re not just shaping minds; we’re nurturing hearts and inspiring future leaders.
Together, we Strive, Succeed, and Soar!

Art, Music, and Afterschool Programs
-
- Our music program features exciting winter and spring concerts, providing students the opportunity to showcase their talents. Students can explore a variety of instruments, with a selected group even having the chance to take violin classes. We’re proud to partner with Classroom Cantatas, a program that enhances our music curriculum by allowing students to engage in high-quality songwriting and composition. Through this initiative, students receive individual attention and work in small groups to create original songs, developing their musical skills and creativity in a collaborative environment.
- Our art education includes a modern art room equipped with a variety of supplies. Students engage in different art media and take part in fun, creative projects that are meaningful to their development as scholars. This hands-on approach encourages self-expression and helps cultivate critical thinking skills.
- We partner with community organizations to provide numerous enrichment opportunities for students after school, including the Boston Children’s Choir, For Kids Only, Soccer Without Borders, CAPIC, the Boys & Girls Club, the Salvation Army, and the East Boston Social Center. These programs offer students a chance to explore their interests and develop new skills in a safe and supportive environment. For more details, please visit our Extended Learning page.
