Pariva Health in support with The LEGO Foundation, Partners with Chelsea Public Schools to Launch Groundbreaking Learning Through Play Pilot

  • CHELSEA, Mass. Pariva Health, in collaboration with The LEGO Foundation, is excited to announce a new partnership with Chelsea Public Schools in Massachusetts aimed at enhancing educational experiences for families through Pariva’s innovative learning through play therapeutic support model.

As part of this partnership, Pariva Health will develop a specialized learning through play program tailored for the special education population within Chelsea Public Schools. This program will include the creation of Therapeutic Development LEGO Play Kits (TDLKs), customized for use by multi-disciplinary school staff to meet the unique developmental goals of their students.

"We are thrilled to collaborate with Pariva Health and Chelsea Public Schools to bring this transformative program to our community," said Erik Neilson, Director of Partnerships at Pariva Health. "Our learning through play therapy has shown remarkable results in fostering cognitive, social, and emotional development, and we believe this partnership will have a significant impact on the lives of many families."

By integrating Pariva’s Therapeutic Development LEGO Play Kits (TDLK) into the curriculum, students will benefit from engaging in hands-on learning experiences that promote creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration.

"We are proud to support Pariva Health in their mission to enhance educational outcomes through play," said Hannah Green, Programme Manager at The LEGO Foundation. "This partnership aligns with our commitment to using play as a powerful tool for learning, development and thriving, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on Chelsea Public Schools."

Chelsea Public Schools are equally enthusiastic about the collaboration, "As a district deeply committed to inclusive practices, we are proud to partner with Pariva Health and The LEGO Foundation to bring this innovative learning through play model to Chelsea. This initiative directly supports the developmental needs of our neurodivergent students by honoring the power of creativity, curiosity, and connection. We believe that every child deserves meaningful access to learning—and this partnership is a beautiful step forward in that mission.” commented Chelsea Public Schools Director of Social Work, Social-Emotional Learning, and Specialized Student Supports Brenda Ortiz McGrath.
