  • Chelsea Public Schools Awards Diploma to U.S. Army Veteran Gerald V. Meola

    Chelsea Public Schools proudly awarded a Chelsea High School diploma to Gerald V. Meola, a U.S. Army veteran who sacrificed his education to serve his country during the Vietnam War. Mr. Meola, known as "Gerry," was on track to graduate with the Chelsea High School Class of 1966 when he was drafted into military service shortly before he was set to graduate. During his time in the Army, he served on the U.S.S. Nimitz. After returning from the war, Gerry furthered his education but never stopped dreaming of holding an official high school diploma.   • Pariva Health in support with The LEGO Foundation, Partners with Chelsea Public Schools to Launch Groundbreaking Learning Through Play Pilot

    Chelsea Public Schools has launched a partnership with Pariva Health, in support with the LEGO Foundation, to enhance educational experiences for families through Pariva’s innovative learning through play therapeutic support model. This program will include the creation of Therapeutic Development LEGO Play Kits (TDLKs), customized for use by multi-disciplinary school staff to meet the unique developmental goals of their students.   • CHS AVID and Early College Programs Host First Annual Mock Interview Forum in Partnership with MassHire and MEFA Pathways

  • Sophia Vasquez’s Pursuit of Medical Career Continues with Acceptance into MGH Mentorship Program

    Sophia Vasquez, a 10th-grade student at Chelsea High School, was recently selected to be part of the Katharine Stansmore MD Mentorship Program, a new opportunity through MGH that will connect Sophia with a one-on-one mentor who will provide her guidance and support for college and beyond. Click here to read more.

  • 2025 Benefit Open Enrollment: April 1-15, 2025

    It's that time of year again! The FY 2026 Benefits Open Enrollment period begins Tuesday, April 1 and runs through Tuesday, April 15, 2025.

    This is your annual opportunity to:

    • Enroll or make changes to your medical, dental, vision, group life, voluntary life, and disability insurance plans
    • Add or remove eligible dependents (spouse, children, etc.)
    • Review plan options, updated premium rates, and coverage details

    Important Updates for 2025–2026:

    • Harvard premium will increase by 10%
    • Altus premium will increase by 12%
    • No changes to copays or deductibles under Harvard (HPHC)

    Effective Dates: Any changes made during Open Enrollment will take effect July 1, 2025 and remain in place through June 30, 2026.

    How to Enroll:

    1. Review summaries, rate sheets, and forms
    2. Complete the appropriate forms
    3. Scan and email all documents to benefits@chelseama.gov
