In Remembrance of September 11
-
A message from Superintendent Dr. Almi G. Abeyta on the 20th Anniversary of September 11, 2001:
Over the last 20 years, the anniversary of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 annually offers us an opportunity to reflect and participate in patriotic ceremonies in memory of those we lost. It also creates a moment for us to come together in unison to honor the servicemen and women as well as the first responders who protected our freedom 20 years ago, and continue to do so today. Whether it's through moments of silence, peaceful reflections, or other patriotic methods, I encourage all of us to remember those we lost 20 years ago, our Massachusetts Military Heroes, the 13 service members killed recently in Afghanistan and all those who presently serve in the armed forces. Moments like today bring us together as a community and strengthen our bonds as we collectively appreciate the sacrifices made by our military members and first responders. Thank you for uniting our school community in acts of remembrance and hope.
